Concerns the capture of Loyalist James Rawlins, in the words of Abram Jones, who "understood by report that a certain James Rawlins was one of the heads amongst the Torries and that he was expected to pass by the settlement of Mattamuskeet or to call there about the next day and I was resolved to apprehend him ...[.]"
Apparently in the hand of James Davis, who signs at bottom: "Sworn to before me this 9th Aug 1777."
