Three-quarter length, torso to the right, head to the left in uniform, wearing a hat. Right hand on waist, left hand inserted in vest. Evergreen trees in background to the left, spires of buildings in town in the background to the right.
This mezzotint follows a series done by R. Purcell, under the pseudonym "C. Corbutt" in London in the early years of the American Revolution. A later series of mezzotints, of which this is one, was done by "Ioh Martin Will" in Augsburg. See P&E L2003D199m.
This is a reproduction of the mezzotint by Jon. Lorenz Rugendas from a book with an illustration reference of "No. 369."
