Writes in response to a letter from Mr. [Joseph?] Clay "in which he mentions that you will want your Negroes in Georgia this Winter and that he and you both must depend on my good offices to move them."
"I have written fully on the subject to Mr. Clay and hope you will fall on some plan to get them from this County and the sooner he or you or some person on whom you can depend comes out the better as I am determined to go to Philadelphia...[.]"
"Your being engaged in the Army and the great hurry you have probably been in since the evacuation of Savannah has prevented your writing to me...[.]"
Habersham was an original member of the Georgia Society of the Cincinnati.
