Certifies "that an acct. exhibited by Sergt. Coit of Col. Durkee's Regt. against Gideon Lyndes of sd. regt. for ye sum of eight shillings & sixpence cannot be paid, sd. Lyndes having deserted. And also an account agst. Israel Dodge amounting to ten shillings, s.d Dodge being absent from the regt. is likewise refused payment. The above were for cloathing said to be recd. of Jabez Clark State Comy." Docketed on verso: Accounts protested / by P.N. Adams ....
