Commonly known as Rawlings' Regiment; also known as Maryland and Virginia Rifle Regiment, consisted of 9 companies, 4 from Maryland & 5 from Virginia.
Leaves 86-97 blank; leaves 86-87, 90-96 torn away.
Lists all the clothing, arms & military equipment individually issued to each member of the unit at Fort Frederick in April 1779; supplemental issues to replenish worn shoes and clothing upon its arrival at Fort Pitt in June 1779.
Includes roster of its officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted men
Accompanied by a binder compiled by Rawlings' great-granddaughter, Helen Neff Cresap & her daughter, Mrs. Baird, containing articles and documents, relating to Rawlings' service during the revolutionary war.
Purchased as part of a lot that included two museum objects (a decanter (M.2008.008.1) and a set of scales (M.2008.008.2))
