A political poster featuring portraits of Franklin Pierce, candidate for President, and William R. King, candidate for Vice President in ovals surrounded by laural leaves against a background of red and white stripes. Above, Inside the blue field's circle of stars is a portrait of George Washington. At the top is the wide wingspan of an eagle with a banner at its feet reading: "The union must and can be preserved: Jackson" and overhead the words: "In union is strength." Below the portraits of the candidates is printed "The union now and forever/" At the side are red drapes and a gold fringe below. Below the fringe and above the title is reads: Lith.& pub. by N. Currier ; Entered according to the act of Congress in the year 1852 by N. Currier, in the Clerk's office at the Dist.t Court of the South.n District of N. Y. 152 Nassau St. Cor. of Spruce N.Y "
Framed in a 2 1/2 inch wood frame without mat.
