Wolfe is shown dying surrounded by his fellow officers, soldiers, and an Indian,during the battle of Quebec.
This engraving is from a very successful painting by Benjamin West, of which several copies were made. The copy used for this engraving is recognized by the following caption which appears below the title: "From the original picture in the collection of the Right honourable Lord Grosvenor."
