No. 1 (Dec. 29, 1788)-Ceased with no. 1992 (May 12, 1795)|Supplements accompany some issues|Library has no. 39 (Wed., Feb. 11, 1789) (L2008M72): including notices concerning the death of the Marquis de Chastelleux, a member of the French Society & the New York Society's general meeting (p. [3]); no. 171 (Wed., July 15, 1789) (L2009M95): including an article about a recent meeting of the Society of the Cincinnati of the State of Rhode Island in Newport. In addition to listing the election of officers and delegates, the article reports the expulsion of a member, Joseph Arnold, who had "forfeited all claim to those principles of honor and justice which are the basis of the institution." Also reported was the unanimous resolution by the Rhode Island members to "discontinue the use of all Military titles; sincerely rejoicing in a perfect equality with their fellow citizens who preserve an inviolable attachment to the laws of honor, justice and equality" (p. 682); Hugh Gaine's advertisement for Steuben's Regulations (p. 683); no. 222 (Sat., Sept. 12, 1789) (L2018G58.10): including an article about Alexander Hamilton's nomination by President Washington as the first Secretary of the Treasury; stored in box with the Hamilton newspaper and ephemera collection of Antonia Chambers, Esq.
