Nelson regrets his inability to visit Anderson but he is waiting on a visit from another General and "tomorrow I must set out for York to secure my election."
Nelson says "You will receive a letter for General Washington and one for Mr. Morris to whom I have written in your favor ..."
Offley Hoo was Nelson's country estate in Hanover County, Virginia. He retired there following the victory at Yorktown.
