This framed key includes a sketch of each face from the Trumbull painting of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence, and numbered from the official key to the painting for the 48 signers along with a facsimilie signature. Below the signatures is reads: "The above names, except those marked with a star, are imitations of the several signatures to the original act."
This key is matted in a simple tan mat inside a 3/4", 22k gold leaf frame.
This key should be displayed with P&E L1998G23.18 framed, which is a hand colored engraving by A. B. Durand of the original Trumbull painting.
