Three-quarter length, seated in a chair to the left, in his robe as Chancellor of the University of Oxford. Rectangle with double line border 1/16, single line border 1/16 and elaborate engraved frame of vines, flowers and a royal seal, 18/16. The title and engraver are enclosed in a single lined with dotted insert border 1/16 made to look like a plate on the outer ornate border. Below the title it reads: From the original by Dance in the collection of the Hon.ble Georgiana North, and below that is the name of the printer/publisher.
Originally accessioned P&E L1988.190.
This is similar to P&E L2005G40.22m except this copy has the elaborate borders and includes the name of the printer/publisher.
This engraving was removed from its original frame for preservation in the P&E files in the vault.
