Copy of a letter to "The Respective Officers at Plymouth", signed by Richard Haddock (Controller of the Navy Board), Jacob Acworth (Surveyor, Extra-Commissioner), John Cleveland, (Clerk of the Acts), Francis Gashry, (Extra-Commissioner) on p. [1]-[4]: explains that "We send you herewith an Extract of the Report ..."
This extract contains the complete measurements for all parts of ships in each of the classes from 100 to 24 gun, including tabulations of dimensions mast and yards, the calculation of tunnage, and an "Estimate of the charge of building and equiping ... a ship on each class built by the dimensions & according to the scantlings and proportions establish'd in the year 1745 ..." [this last dated 1748]
Apparently produced as a handy reference format that would be fit in an officer's greatcoat pocket
