Gift of Claude S. Harkins (L2007G54); Mr. Harkins lent the 13-star flag to the Society for an exhibition in 2003 (known as the "L'Enfant" flag, because the stars in the canton are arranged in an oval, similar to the appearance of the flag in L'Enfant's original sketch for the Society diploma)
