Note
These two posters are available in the gift shop at Mount Vernon. One is a colored print of the engraving by John McRae titled: First in Peace. The original is in the Willard-Budd Collection at Mount Vernon and shows George Washington in a decorated boat being rowed to the dock in New York to greet his family and friends during the first Inaugural. This poster was originally assessed as L1993.1.415. The second is a photo reproduction of the framed portrait of George Washington by Rembrandt Peale which is also in the possession of Mount Vernon. There are 2 copies of the poster with the Peale portrait. One was originally assessed as L1993.1.414.
