To the left, a color reproduction of the painting by John Trumbull, titled, Signing of the Declaration of Independence, which hangs in the rotunda of the U. S. Capitol. Below the painting is a graphic with a numbered list identifying the signers. To the right is a reproduction of the Declaration of Independence with the signatures.
There are two copies of this print. In the lower right hand corner of one it reads: "Presented by the Society of the Cincinnati." On the second copy it reads: "Presented by the Society of the Cicninnati in the State of New Jersey." It is unclear what event prompted the publication of these prints. It probably was presented to those in attendance at some Society function or functions.
