"This was bought at Berlin by Gabriel & Hester L. Piozzi, A.D. 1787" at bottom; Berlin was the part of Piozzis' extended tour of Europe described in "Observations and reflections made in the course of a journey through France, Italy, and Germany" by Mrs. Piozzi, 1789.
Pictorial army list provides details of 120 regiments - Granadeer guards, Musketeers, Artillery, Fusileers, Cuirasseers, Dragoons, Hussars, Garrison Battalions, etc. - with their colored shoulder flashes and facings, commanding officers, numbers, and dates of establishment.
Decorative heading with a portrait of the King (probably Frederick William II if this list was drawn up on the death of Frederick the Great), surmounted by a crowned eagle, with military colors and drums to each side, flanked by two officers.
