Detailed ms. account of English privateering off the coasts of New York, Boston & Maine from July to late Oct. 1781, by way of an equity suit filed by Capt. Josias Rogers, against his fellow officer, Robert Biggs, commander of His Majesty's ship the Amphitrite.
Text describes detailed naval actions from Sandy Hook, New York to Penobscot Bay.
Rogers was captured by the Americans in Delaware Bay in 1776 and held captive for about a year, escaped & promoted to the command of the General Monk in 1780.
