Half-figure to the right. Rectangle. The title is a facsimilie salutation and signature: "Your obedient humble servant, Wm. Blount"
This engraving is based on the portrait by Washington Bogart Cooper. The initials FKC appear in the lower right corner of the engraving and probably represent the unknown engraver.
This engraving is the frontispiece of the book by Gen. Marcus J. Wright entitled, Some account of the life and services of William Blount....... It has been removed from the source and mounted on a sheet of grey paper and asingle line border in black ink has been added. At the bottom of the sheet, hand written in red ink: "M.O.C. from North Carolina." Below written in pencil: "B. 1794 - Obt.1800" In pencil in the upper right corner: "97."
