Note
Three-quarter figure, standing to the right, in uniform. His left hand rests on his walking stick and he holds his hat in his right hand. The background is of the countryside with trees and streams. Rectangle.
The copy on the larger sheet is an engraving from the plate with full title and the statement, "from the original in the government house Calcutta." A second copy, on smaller sheet, has no plate marks and has only the name as a title and uses different type face to credit the engraver and cites a publisher and place of publication. This copy is an illustration from Otto Trevelyan, The American Revolution (call no. 973.31 T812, 1909).
