Note
Whole length, to front, head to the left, in uniform, with field glass in extended right hand. In the left hand, a cocked hat, held close to the sword-hilt, at side. In the rear, a horse, held by a soldier and beneath, a dismantled cannon. In the extreme background, the representation of the battle. Stipple. Rectangle with double line border, 2/16. Above title is a facsimile signature, Go. Washington. Below the title it reads: "This print is copied from a painting deposited by the artist, (the aid of Washington) in the Trumbull Gallery at New Haven, Conn. Washington is represented viewing the enemy just after the conflict at the Creek bridge. - Every minute article of his dress down to the buttons, the trappings of his horse &c. were carefully drawn from the originals."
