Within a double-ruled oval, bust turned to his left, head turned slightly to the right, his eyes facing center.
A Lord Bathurst was a member of the Privy Council present at the king's council on 16 Feb. 1757 to recommend that Byng's sentence be forwarded to the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty -- see p. 129 of The Trial of Admiral Byng on leaf 191r of this volume.
