Note
Half-figure, seated to the left. A drapery and a stack of books on a ledge are seen in the background. Rectangle with double-line border 1/16. Below the title it reads: "A most eminent English orator, statesman, and author. He was born in Dublin Jan.y 1st 1730. Though few men are so largely gifted by Providence as to be enabled to imitate his genius and learning, yet all mankind may grow better by the study of his virtues. This great and good man expired July 8th 1797 at Beaconsfield, in Buckinghamshire, and was interred on the 15th in the church at that place."
