Note
The engraver may be either Antoine Benoist, 1721-1770, who worked in Paris and London or similarly Guillaume-Philippe Benoist, 1725-1770. The engraver almost certainly knew the larger portrait painted by G. Kneller on leaf 182r of The Tragedy of Admiral Byng, 1756-1757.
Bust of Byng within an oval frame torso turned to his left, head facing slightly left.
Also on leaf 183r are 2 partially printed documents signed by George Byng and a colored engraving of the Torrington coat of arms, together with the motto "Tuebor."
Admiral George Byng was the father of Admiral John Byng.
