Note
Three-quarter figure, seated in a high back chair, facing slightly to the right, with his arms resting on the arms of the chair. He is dressed in his robes of office including his wig. On a table to his left are books, a quill pen, and a paper message, with his name on it, that appears to have been recently opened and read. Below the title it reads, "From the original of Sir Joshua Reynolds in the collection of the R.t Hon.ble The Earl of Mansfield."
