Note
Geary forwards an order from Hawke, Admiral of the Blue, to a Capt. Norbury that Norbury take on board his ship the Sandwich in Quiberon Bay "all such persons as shall be sent on board ... and cause them to be victualled as the said ship's company till her arrival at Spithead." Hawke had bested the French fleet at Quiberon Bay the previous year.
