Scene on the battlefield at Yorktown, outside the officer's tents. Rochambreau, Washington and Lafayette (identified in titles below the engraving, above the title) are shown discussing the battle plan and giving orders to the troops gathered around them. Below the title in the lower left it reads: "Dessine par Sandoz et Girardet." Opposite on the right it reads: "Diagraphe et Pantographe Gavard." In the upper left, above the engraving it reads: "Gal.rie Hist.que de Versailles."
