Letter from Pickens, describing recent military operations in the South Carolina backcountry and concerning his failure to confront General Cunningham's militia before they reached Ninety Six, patriot reinforcements, and the siege of British held August, Georgia. "I find an almost general disposition among the People to Join us and there is a great want of Arms, as most of the Arms here were given up to the Enemy last June."
The camp was near King's Mountain, S.C.
