Mary Fitzpatrick's brother Richard Fitzpatrick was a friend of Charles James Fox, whose brother Stephen married Mary Fitzpatrick in 1766. Richard fought in the American Revolution and later joined Fox in the Whig opposition and later worked to free Lafayette from prison and promoted a subscription to relieve Lafayette's debt. What role Mary played in the history of the revolution is unknown.
