An illustration of a model equestrian statue of Washington by Steinhauser. The statue sits on a huge pedestal with maidens around an upper frieze and fountains cascading from all four sides at the foot of the base. The engraver, who is from Philadelphia, has placed the statue in a tree lined plaza in front of a bell tower that may be Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Visitors are seen strolling in long gowns and top hats around the fountain at the base. Rectangle. After the engravers name it states: "from the original model by Steinhauser."
There does not seem to be any record that this statue was ever built.
