This Nathaneal Greene, the eldest son of Nathaneal Greene's youngest son, Nanthanael Ray Green, was a successor member of the Society of the Cincinnati from the state of Rhode Island, and succeeded his uncle, Greene's oldest son, George Washington Greene in 1877. In 1878, he became the President of the Rhode Island Society of the Cincinnati and served until his death in 1899.
