Henry Alexander Scammell Dearborn was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati, representing his father, Lieutenant Colonel Henry Dearborn, an original member of the Society from the state of Massachusetts. Henry Alexander Scammell Dearborn served during the War of 1812 and was elected the eighth President General of the Society of the Cincinnati, serving from 1848-1854.
