Head-and shoulders to the left, in uniform. The eagle of the Society of the Cincinnati hangs on his left lapel. Rectangle. Below the title is a facsimilie signature.
Below the engraving is reads: "Engraved by Hoppner Meyer from a painting by J. B. Longacre after the original portrait. The original portrait is by Charles Willson Peale and hangs in the collections of Independence National Historic Park, Philadelphia, PA.
This is an illustration from Herring and Longacre's,The national portrait gallery of distinguished Americans, Vol. III.
The copy on sheet 24 x 15 cm has accession number: 77.1.457.4
