Full figure, standing, slightly to the right. He holds his walking stick in his right hand and his left hand rests on the back of a chair on which sits his hat. On a table to the left is a paper reading, "Sons of Liberty .. Boston" and a quill pen. Title is facsimilie signature. Below the title signature it reads: "From the original picture by Chappel in the possession of the publishers."
