Note
These two engravings are part of a larger sheet of portraits from an unknown source and unidentified in terms of their artists. In fact the portraits are only identified by the numbers "24" and "25" on the plate, but someone has handwritten the names above the numbers as if from a key.
George III's portrait is a bust, to the right. He appears as a young man with no royal insignia.
Washington is shown with his head only, in profile, as a young man with strong features in Roman style with long flowing curly hair pulled back and tied with a ribbon.
