This is a photographic reproduction of the original painting, which was commissioned by the Masonic Lodge in Alexandria in 1793. Williams was a member of the Lodge, and is said to have produced an authentic portrait of Washington at age 64. The original portrait hangs in the Goerge Washington National Masonic Memorial building in Alexandria, VA. Print copyrighted: A.W.L. No. 22 A.F.&A.M. Alex.Va.
This print is embellished with crossed swords and a laural leaf decoration to frame the oval portrait.
