Offering two horses for sale to Boudinot, Rhea says "they are six years old each, about 14 hands 3 inches near of a size... one is more round than the other...." on p. [1].
Advises Boudinot to talk to General [John Noble] Cumming, who "has seen and rode with them he can describe them to you...." on p. [1].
Mentions "Mr. Barton of Lancaster" on p. [1], who is also interested in the horses.
Rhea mentions a desire to take a team in the line of stages if John Vandegrift would part with "any part of his road in that line," on p. [1].
Mentions Colonel Ogden, who is to receive a commission in a regiment then forming.
Closes with "The Scarlet fever that raged here appears at present to be checked," on p. [2].
