Bust, to the right, in uniform. Vignette. The eagle of the Society of the Cincinnati is pinned to his left lapel.
The engraved copy is most similiar to the frontispiece in the book Reminiscences of Gen'l Samual B. Webb of the revolutionary army by his son, J. Watson Webb. The same engraving is also the frontispiece in Vol. I of Correspondance and journals of Samual Blachley Webb, edited by Worthington Chauncey Ford.
Samual Blachley Webb was an original member of the Society of the Cincinnati from the state of Connecticut, who later moved his membership to New York.
Library has 3 copies: c. 2: photomechanical reproduction of the original engraving with modifications. The vignette has been enclosed in a rectangular background. The etcher's name, the facsimilie signature title, and the name of the publisher have been removed and the name, Samual B. Webb has been printed below the rectangle. It is a page from the Daughters of the Cincinnati 1910-1911 Yearbook after p. 46; c. 3 (L2016G47)
