Note
Full bust, profile to right, in uniform. Vignette, in rectangle with double border 2/16, with floral motif at corners.
Appears to be a frontispiece from a book. The work is clearly after Joseph Wright, and is similar to the engraving by Thomas Holloway in the reference Hart, Charles H., Cat.of the Engraved Portraits of Washington, #167. There are initials, perhaps NMS... below the right arm that perhaps identify the engraver. But, this engraving is vignette, not enclosed in an oval, and not a line drawing. Hart does have any reference to a work published by Soetens & Fils.
