This CD highlights events of the period including the South Carolina colonist' reaction to the Stamp Act in 1765, the unsuccessful 1776 British attack on Fort Sullivan in Charles Town harbor, the fall of Charles Town in 1780, the numerous skirmishes and engagements between forces loyal to the British crown and patriot partisans led by Francis Marion and Thomas Sumter, and the eventual recapture of Charles Town in 1782.
