Note
Describes naval action along the Venezuelan coast, in which the Chevalier des Augiers captures the Spanish galleon La Patache de la Marguerite, her crew, and flag in the port of Gouera.
Des Augiers, in command of a small squadron assigned to raid Spanish shipping in the West Indies, had left Brest in July aboard the Bourbon.
Pontchartrain was then Secretary of State for the French Marine.
Probably an official report; tied with blue ribbon similar to other official records of the French Marine in the Society's Library.
