This engraving is similar to #706 in Hart, Charles H., Cat.of Engraved Portraits of Washington, except rather than a vignette, this engraving is enclosed in an oval with no reference to the original portrait painted by Mrs Sharpless in the possession of the Evans family, nor any reference to P. Hall as the engraver.
An actual copy of Hart #706, as referenced in Hart, is published in Memoir of Thaddeus Kosciuszko by A.W.W. Evans, and can be found in in the library referenced 923.5439 K86eva 1883.
