Note
William Penn standing in the center accompanied by other traders and merchants, display bounty to a group of Indians from a large chest, notably a bolt of cloth. In the background construction is occuring on several large dwellings and ships can be seen on a waterway in the background.
Below the title, this print reads: "To the proprietaries of the Province of Pensylvania, Vc, Vc. This print, engraved from the original painting, belonging to the late Thomas Penn, Esquire. Is respectfully inscribed by their obedient humble servant, John Boydell. Published June 12th, 1775 by John Boydell. Engraver in Cheapside, London." A coat of arms is shown in the middle of the title.
Matted with gold burnished & French lined mats with black panel reverse frame.
