The Washington family is shown in a parlor at a table in the center of the room. A map is on the table. George is seated to the right and holds his place in a book with his left hand. Martha is seated to the left and holds a fan in her right hand in her lap. The two Custis children stand behind the table. To the right of the table is a chair that contains George's cape, hat and sword. A servant is shown coming through a door to the right rear carrying a tray with a calling card.
Framed in a 2" 22K gold American Colonial frame.with French lined mat.
