Note
One of the painting series of army uniforms during the revolutionry war, paintings by Jean Leffel, based upon illustrations of H. A. Ogden and Lt. Charles M. Lefferts.
Depict the uniforms of two 18th century officers shown in conversation. The one on the left is standing and appears in green and white unifrom of the De Lancey's Brigade. The one on the right is seated on a rock wall and appears in a red and white uniform of the Johnson's Royal Regiment. In the background, to the left, is a private from the De Lancey's brigade standing guard with rifle.
