Note
Joshua Huntington was a captain in Selden's Connecticut State Regiment between 26 June and 25 Dec. 1776. His commander had been captured in September when the British landed in New York, and Huntington may have been separated from his regiment. He wrote this letter to his father (Jabez Huntington) to inform that "now with the Regt and am in good health," & mentioned his "Brother Jed, & Eben ..." He also asked to "forward the enclosed letter to my wife ..." (this letter not present).
Joshua's brothers, Ebenezer Huntington & Jedediah Huntington were original members of CT Society.
