1 print ; 45 x 61 cm. on sheet 50 x 66 cm.
Call Number
P&E L1980.89f

A poplar and heart pine timber cabin in the woods just after a snowfall. Signed by the engraver and numbered 4/30.
It is believed that this house, located in Farmville, Va., was built by Captain John Morton just prior to his marrage in 1750 to Mary Anderson. It was passed through the Morton family of Virginia for several generations. It has most probably been razed.
This cooper engraving is the gift of Patrick George Morton of Paris.
