Apparently an accounting by Vernon junior of expenses, receipts, and losses incurred between 1778 and 1782
Vernon senior was Chairman of the Eastern Navy Board, which during this time sat in Boston and had charge of "building, manning, and fitting for sea all naval vessels, providing the necessary materials and stores ..." -- DNB His son was apparently acting on behalf of the Board in France, though some accounts were in London.
Feb. 1778: 60 guns L63; July 1782: Sundry goods shipped by Capt. Bell via. Phila. [and to other locations on] the Buckskin, the Genl. Mercer, the William, the Mars, and the Active totalling L13458.1.3; sundry goods shipped and taken by the enemy by the Buckskin, the Peggy, and the Mar[ quis]. [de La]Fayette totalling L9010.13.7.
