A "poster-like" lithograph of George Washington on horseback, in uniform, slightly to the left, in the style of Stuart, tips his hat to women strewing flowers before him. He is accompanied by 4 officers on horseback. Above is a archway covered with laural leaves and flowers with streamers on the left "The defender of the mothers will be" and on the right "The protector of the daughters", and above "Battle of Trenton Dec. 26th 1776" Above the arch is an eagle with banners in his beak, "Princeton" on the left, and "Monmouth" on the right. Rectangle with two single line borders 1/16 apart.
