"To be tried agreeable to a late act of ye Great Court of this State as a person whose residence in this state is Dangerous to the Public Peace and Safety..."
Hodges apparently escaped prosecution or was found innocent, for according to records of Mansfield, MA published in the New England historical and genealogical record (v. 55, p. 173-4), he was paid 6 pounds on 1 Sept. 1777 to complete the quota of the Continental Army and was drafted again on 18 May 1778.
Watermark: initials RF on either side of a bell (cf. Gravell, Foreign watermarks, figure 580.)
