Two soldiers are shown wearing fur-trimmed, buckskin uniforms, one is barefoot, and both wear leather caps or helmets boldly marked "Congress." Both carry small shoulder bags, and a musket with bayonet. A paragraph, discussing the scene, in German, appears at the bottom of the engraving.
